Tucumán: commissioning a 1,024 MW combined cycle.
The schedule had slipped and trips were stalling the ramp to base load. Our process lead closed out the start-up issues before the guarantee test.

Situation
The plant’s two gas turbines and steam turbine were cleared for commissioning, but the schedule had slipped and the owner needed independent process engineering support to close out start-up issues before the guarantee test. Fuel-gas conditioning trips and steam-cycle chemistry excursions were stalling the ramp to base load.
What we did
Our process lead joined the commissioning team, working directly with the OEM’s start-up engineers. We re-sequenced the start-up curve around the fuel-gas skid’s actual trip logic instead of the vendor’s generic one, tightened the HRSG drum-level and feedwater chemistry limits, and ran a root-cause review on every trip within 24 hours so fixes went back into the next start attempt.
What changed
The plant reached its full 1,024 MW and cleared the reliability run in six weeks, about a third faster than the recovery schedule the owner had approved before we joined. Unplanned trips during commissioning fell from roughly one every two starts to one in the last eleven.
